WASHINGTON D.C – ICOs and crypto-facing startups have surged in popularity over the last year, having piqued the interest of many existing businesses and high-profile individuals. This is no different in the case of Michelle Obama’s new child-friendly blockchain learning initiative, MegaBlock-Chain.

“The concept is in it’s infancy at this point in time,” said the former first lady. “Ultimately, the idea is to combine blockchain technology and MegaBlocks so that the next generation can have a stronger understanding of crypto fundamentals. Also megablocks, I guess.”

Michelle had later admitted that the idea had yet to undergo any testing or extensive research.

“I’m not exactly sure how we achieve combining a physical item like children’s toys with revolutionary digital technology like blockchain. I’m sure I can pay a developer to figure it out, and I’ll just write a book about it after it works. I’ve already pitched my idea to a few people I know who build mobile apps.”

One of the developers in question was kind enough to share his side of their exchange.

“Michelle reached out to me for what she called an ‘app idea’,” said clearly agitated developer, Jamie Stephens. “I asked her to explain what the app is supposed to do, and what problem it’s solving. She rattled off some vague description about using blockchain and Legos or whatever to teach children about crypto. I’m like, okay, great. Break this down for me real fast – we have toys, and we have blockchain. What’s the rest of your idea? How can these two things can form a cohesive learning experience?”

Jamie said that it wasn’t until Michelle had said, “Isn’t it your job to figure that out?” that he told her he wasn’t interested.

“MegaBLOCKs, BLOCKchain – are you seeing the pattern here? Because Jamie sure didn’t,” said Michelle. “Some developer. If he steals my app idea I’m going to be so pissed.”
